Spring day..

It's spring, its Seattle, therefore its raining.. Yesterday was so nice. I took the kids to a park to play with their little friend. My friend(mother of their friend) and I thought how ironic it was how the kids had the most fun running down the hills, collecting rocks on the hike, and splashing in the water fountain when there was two huge climbing play toys at the park as well. They did play on them, but I swear I saw the biggest smiles when they found wishing rocks and were speeding fast down the grassy hill.
I had big plans for today. I was going to start digging up my shade garden. I already ordered 30 plants for the area. I'm not sure when they will arrive, but I want the are to be ready for planting soon.

August has been sleeping in lately. We all get up and he is still snuggley in the bed ( usually my bed) I'm thinking he is growing. While I love to watch him grow, I really love his silly talk cuddly phase he is in. Yeah he is mischievous and naughty at times, but I just love my little 2.5 year old. I have said it before, sometimes I wish I could just freeze time. That or go back and visit the kids at each age again. It goes so fast.

I love this age too! Ella says the funniest, craziest things. August is just the cutest boy ever. I still think he is a perfect match for Ella... too bad betrothal contracts are not acceptable anymore - hee. :-)

Ella has always enjoyed dirt, rocks, sticks, etc. much more than toys and play equipment. I sort of wish we didn't invest in a Rainbow playset! We have a nature table for each season in our house and she just loves to drag home pinecones, rocks, weeds, etc. to store there and I am always finding them all over the house.
