This pic is for Sheri!

, originally uploaded by pics of us.

I cleaned Rosa's room like CRAZY last night. We even got her new furniture to stash away all her lovely goods ( beads, books, beads, Barbies, toy, ...BEADS)
She loves it. It was SO messy. Messy enough that I was too embarrassed to show a before picture online. I'm talking 3 pounds of beads on the floor, clothes everywhere. Art projects half done, color pencils, crayons.. I'm sure you can imagine. So now its her little safe haven. Makes me want to clean my own room, well almost.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I'm so tired! Why oh why can't I just GO TO BED!
Not much new here though.
One of my online buddies, a wonderful person had her baby last night. A sweet little boy named Gabriel! Me and a few other online pals got updates during her labor. It was great. CONGRATS Jess!!
This Saturday I think my mom is coming over to visit. Not only that, she is going to stay and watch the kids so me and Sebastian can have a date night!! I love those, they are few and far between. I'm excited.
August is finally feeling better. His cough is still lingering, but he has normal poops and his energy is back. Now I just need to fatten him up since his appetite is beginning to return too!

CRAP!

Literally... unfortunately.
I had the most poo filled 2 hours of my LIFE..It starts like this.....
* 10 am* Me and August and Veda are off to the mall to buy some ballet shoes, and tap shoes for her new class that starts at 11. I figure we have time to buy the shoes and then have a snack at the coffee shop.
*10 :20* We bought both shoes and are having snacks in the food court. August gets this look on his face like he is uncomfortable. I ask if he is poopy and he say "I want pee in the potty" So I say that is fine and go to check his diaper first..its FULL of diarrhea. The smell hit me like a slap in the face..gross. I look at the clock and think we should go now and change him in the car.
* 10:30* After carrying a heavy 2 year old down half the mall cause he wont walk with his pants full of soup, we get to the car and I search for a diaper...bingo, one left! Then I look for the wipes..and look..and look... NO WIPES! AHHH. The car is filling with the scent of, well I'm sure you can guess. SO I look at the clock and realize we HAVE to go home before dance class.
*10:35* I make my poor kid sit in his car seat, even though he is protesting.. I would too if I had a diaper full of runny poop. I speed ( slightly) home.
*10:43* I pull in to the garage, take August out of the car, and run inside. I change him FAST, and am amazed by my speed. I grab him and go back in to the car. I start buckling him and the smell is SO GROSS. I also notice I am buckling a wet buckle. WTH?? I take a closer look and realize his poop had earlier leaked in to his seat :( I had thrown his blanky IN TO the poopy seat when I grabbed him a few minutes ago. So now, I have a boy who is sitting in a poo filled car seat. YUCK YUCK YUCK.
*10:50* I RUN back in to the house, get August a WHOLE new outfit. Next I yank out his car seat and replace it with his other one.( This one had been cleaned thoroughly since he barfed in it last week) Under the dirty one is the pack of wipes I couldn't find at the mall!
*10:55* On my way!! ( Again) Luckily the dance studio is only about 4 to 7 minutes away, depending on lights, and slow drivers.
*11:01* We made it. The earlier class is running a few minutes behind. We go in and watch the class. They let you on the first day. Half way through, I notice August is stinky and realize he really needs a bath. I ask him if he wants to go pee in the potty. (Slightly trying to potty train) He says yes and we leave the class. While in the bathroom, I look in his diaper before I take it off. IT'S FULL OF SOUPY POOP AGAIN!!!!!!
*11:30* I go back to the class and grab my purse to get my keys. I then run to my car which is right outside and grab a diaper and wipes. I put him on the changing table and start to change his diaper. The room is filling with the scent of icky sticky crap. Of course then like 4 parents and their kids are filing in and out. I was SO embarrassed. Here is my HUGE 2 year old on this tiny changing table with stinky poop. Its running out of his diaper down his back. On his shirt, on the changing table..it was everywhere. All the while the kids are staring in horror, and the parents are trying to get their kids away from my large stinky boy.
*11:45* we leave, head home. Veda had a blast. I feel like I smell.I probably do. we get home and I start a bath right away. On the way to the bath holding August I hear a loud noise. We get to the bathroom and the shower curtain along with towels have fallen in to the full bathtub. FUN TIMES. Where is my wine bottle??

MLK

"Martin Luther King Jr. has now been dead longer than he lived. But what an extraordinary life it was.

At 33, he was pressing the case of civil rights with President John Kennedy. At 34, he galvanized the nation with his "I Have a Dream" speech. At 35, he won the Nobel Peace Prize. At 39, he was assassinated, but he left a legacy of hope and inspiration that continues today."

Not So Spring Cleaning

As much as I hate cleaning, I do love a clean house. Who doesn't? It is time for spring cleaning...a little early. I'm taking one room in my house a day. Organizing cupboards, wiping floors and walls, throwing away junk! Today is kitchen day. I hope to clean out the refrigerator, organize under the sink, clean my oven, and scrub the floors. Hopefully by the end of the week I will have a sparkly and de-cluttered house... at least for a few days.
No before pictures ( are you kidding! ) I may post after pictures though!

Date night

Oo fun. Me and Sebastian went out on a date tonight. Thanks to a kind family member we were able to watch a kick butt game of basketball. Sonics Vs. the Lakers and it was a REALLY good game. Even if we lost by 2 points. Still , they held their own!
Our night started off at a fun restaurant, we ate at Ohana at really yummy Japanese/ Hawaiian place , then left for the game. We walked 4 blocks in the COLD wet snow to see the game, but it didn't disappoint. We had fun. When we got home our little man Auggie was awake ready to be silly and fun..the way a toddler is who hasn't gone to bed and is up too late. He was full of laughs, that is until we said bed time. Then all the fussing began. It was o.k though. We had enough adult time to recharge our parenting skills and put him to bed...Now for the after party!

WORK

I know I have said it before, but relationships take work. All of them. Even with your children. Lately I had been noticing that I have not been giving my kid my full attention. I half listen half to what their telling me while vacuuming. I will bathe them and clean up at the same time. I feel like the most they hear out of my mouth is reactions to their actions instead of quality conversations. I need to work on that. I know I can give them 100% all the time, but I would like to give them 100% more often.
On thing that has helped with the younger ones is I have been helping out at their preschool twice a week. I was unsure how it would be, but I love it. I get to read books and do art projects and just listen to their funny ideas. All this without the distraction of household chores or phone calls or whatever. I'm really happy to be doing this.

Free Day

Today was my free day and I got pretty much nothing done. The two little ones are at school until 1 30 today. I was to workout and clean the house. I worked out for 15 minutes and I cleaned for about 10. Needless to say I was not productive. All day I craved French fries so I took my kids Jack in The Box. I think they get fast food about 4 times a year. Not eating meat, it limits your choices. We left with two milkshakes and curly fries.. YUM! That hit the spot. So unproductive and eating crappy. I'm sure it will all bite me in the rear tomorrow! C’est la vie

I cant stand it!

My kids are SO CUTE. I took a whole hat session today..this is my favorite.

Later...
We had such a fun dance party. Me and the kids and Sebastian danced at times. Just jumping and dancing to loud music in the TV room. We were laughing so hard. August decided to strip down naked and dance around. HA HA! Every 5 minutes we are asking him .." do you have to pee pee? " He says yes and we rush him to the potty...nothing. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat!

Traveling..

I'm getting the biggest traveling itch! I want to go places and meet people. I want to drive, or fly, or ride in a moving vehicle of sorts!Lets see new cities! I think I have to completely revamp my resolution! TRAVEL!!!
I want to take my kids to see the world..I can even just start with our state if need be. I also want to travel with girl friends and have wild..well semi wild times. I was able to take a vacation with my husband last year and it was great. I want to do MORE. The one major thing holding me back is money. It costs to travel. We have a awesome camping van that works for road trips NOT in the winter.. I plan on using it once the weather gets better. AHHH

One thing I have been thinking though is all the women I have met around the world through my moms group. I REALLY want to meet them and see their cites. I know many who would be happy to show me around, a few who would also put me up for the night...I need a plan. Yes a plan of action is needed. I WILL travel!!

Resolutions..

So I asked my kids what their resolutions were. I told them they could just pick something they want to try harder on, or do this year. "R" said she didn't want one. (spoil sport) "V" said she wants to make ponies...hmm that might be hard but I was supportive. HA HA
Of course A had no idea what I was talking about.
Mine was to have more fun, work on my photography, and have more patients with my kids.
I made no eating right or exercising resolutions...well at least I didn't make any out loud ( or to anyone else).
It was a pretty nice, yet cold day and we went to the park and brought along the kids's bikes. We came home and me and Sebastian made yummy dinner together which was fun too. The kids were so burnt out from staying up so late last night, we had them all in bed and asleep by 7 45! YEAH Time to play some cards and RELAX.
